The discussion table
The Forum is where we get together to actually talk about something — readings, debates, big questions. The original Forum was where Rome argued its ideas in the open air. Ours is a table at a bar, which suits us better.
The first one is this November at Reserve 101 downtown, while the Court is in session: a private room, a serious whiskey list, and the Supreme Court on the table — the November arguments, the shadow docket, and the cases worth watching. No legal background needed; strong opinions welcome.
Down the road, the Forum's big project is the Constitutional Convention, where we draft and ratify the club's own charter. This is how we warm up the room.
First session convenes this November.
